About Mas Design Consultants
MAS Design Consultants Ltd., founded in 2002 in Guiseley, North Leeds, is an Architectural Design company working on a range of projects covering residential, commercial, educational and community buildings both locally and nationally. Our talented team of Professionals and Architectural Technicians are lead by Mark Scatchard, born and bred in Guiseley - Marks puts heart and passion into his Yorkshire based company.
Our mission is to blend creative design with client expectations, working as a team with our clients to realise the best possible building solution.
Our values of INTEGRITY, COLLABORATION and QUALITY are intrinsic in everything we do.
Our office approach invites all members of staff to actively participate in the development of all projects from inception to completion.
Our knowledge of the local area enables us to efficiently and effectively advise on the most appropriate course of action, whilst updating them of changes to national and local policy.
Areas we cover: We work mainly in the North Leeds area of Yorkshire but have also worked in London, Surrey, Gloucestershire and the Midlands. Much of our work comes from Guiseley, Menston, Ilkley, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Otley, Huby, Weeton, Harrogate and Leeds. We would never discount a job based on distance - we have even travelled overseas!
“Mark and his team are fantastic, knowledgeable, easy to work with and reliable.”
Meet the Team
MARK SCATCHARD

Favourite building: York Minster - the beauty of it just takes my breath away.
NICK WESTON
Associate Director & Senior Architectural Technologist
Favourite Building: Marina Bay Sands, Singapore; it’s definitely on the bucket list!
AUDRA ANDREWS
Finance & Credit Manager
Favourite Building: Menai Suspension Bridge – not a building but a feat of engineering from Thomas Telford in 1876.
ANDREW WILLIS
Office Manager
JAMES POLLARD
Senior Architectural Technician
Favourite Building: I don't have favourites - though I am a fan of Antoni Gaudi's work, especially the Sagrada Familia which I've been lucky enough to visit a couple of times. I’m also interested in buildings that incorporate aspects of nature such as Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water in Pennsylvania and the Bosco Verticale in Milan.
MARCUS STAPLEY
Architectural Technician
Favourite Building: Woolpack Pub - Emmerdale
THOMAS GIBSON
Architectural Technician
Favourite Building: The Terme Vals by Peter Zumthor – I love the sleek cold materials, and the modern, angular construction. It’s built into the mountain using natural stone, and the simple design makes it feel calm and connected to nature.
LEAH DIXON
Architectural Technician
Favourite Building: Votivkirche, Vienna. Seeing the light show there revealed the architecture in a new way and reinforced how space and illumination can change how a building is experienced.
LOUISE WILKINSON
HR
IAN BROADWITH
Architectural Technologist
Favourite Building: York Minster.
ALASTAIR WEDDERBURN
Architectural Technician
Favourite Building: Robie House by Frank Lloyd Wright. Long horizontal lines and massive overhanging eaves, Prairie style at its best.
